mobile phone bill payment service on WAP platform
Orangeworld customers can now pay mobile phone bills by
Visa or Mastercard without pre-registration
Orange is the first in Hong Kong to launch a mobile phone bill payment service on WAP platform. Orangeworld customers can exclusively enjoy the convenience of paying their mobile phone bills by any Visa or Mastercard via their WAP phones anytime and anywhere with the support of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, without pre-registration or registration fee.
New category in Orangeworld allows users to enjoy mobile phone bill payment service on WAP anytime anywhere
Orangeworld users can now enjoy the new payment service at "Orange CS", a new category of Orangeworld wirefree internet service which currently offers a total of fourteen categories. More customer services for Orangeworld users will also be put under "Orange CS" in future.
Before making payment, Orange users can activate the handset security system to ensure a secured transmission of personally identifiable information. Having logged into the Orangeworld, they can check the bill amount due via WAP phones by entering the mobile number, Hong Kong Identity Card number or account number in "Bill Payment" section under "Orange CS". To proceed with payment, Orange users need only to enter their personal and credit card information - such as payment amount, type of credit card, credit card number, expiry date, email address and name of cardholder.
SSL technology ensures secured payment transactions via WAP phones
An email with a payment record will be sent from the bank when the transaction is being processed.
With the addition of this WAP-enabled bill payment service, Orangeworld customers have a new avenue to pay their bills through WAP phones, in addition to the existing ways of paying bills via orangehk.com web site, Orange Shops or Orange Customer Services Centres.
