Shanghai Container Terminals (SCT) has successfully handled the largest container vessel ever to berth at its terminals since its operations. The above picture shows the "LT Ursula", a 5,750 TEU vessel, berthed in Jun Gong Lu Terminal at SCT on 28 August 2000.
This large vessel has an overall length of 285 meters and a width capable of stowing 16 boxes across. The "LT Ursula" started her maiden voyage in Hong Kong. She was deployed by Lloyd Triestino to begin her China-Europe-Mediterranean service.

Shanghai Container Terminals (SCT) is jointly invested and managed by Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) and Shanghai Port Authority. The company operates three container terminals: Bao Shan Terminal, Zhang Hua Bang Terminal and Jun Gong Lu Terminal. In 1999, SCT handled about 2.6 million TEU.
HPH is an independent port investor, developer and operator with operations in 18 ports in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
