(Hong Kong, 5 November 2007) In response to media inquiries, a spokesman for Hutchison Whampoa Limited ("HWL") reiterated today that the Group had no plan of priviatising Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited ("HTIL").

There have been recent market rumours that HWL would privatise HTIL, but Group Managing Director Canning Fok categorically denied such rumours.

"The maintenance of HTIL's listing status is beneficial to the shareholders, HTIL itself and HWL. We have no plan to privatise HTIL," Mr Fok said.
