Intra Asian service links at JICT
Jakarta, 25th July 2000 - Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) welcomed its ninth new shipping service of the year with the arrival of Cheng Lie Navigation Company's "M.V Sky Bright" on 13th July to start a new intra-Asia service.
Taiwanese-headquartered Cheng Line Navigation Company (CNC) is a major intra-Asian shipping line and already operates one weekly intra-Asian service from Indonesia's premier container terminal.
The 10,800 dwt "M.V Sky Bright" measures 132m long will be joined by two sister ships on the following route - JICT-Surabaya-Hong Kong-Kaohsiung-JICT, calling at JICT fortnightly on Tuesdays.
The service complements CNC's existing weekly service at JICT, a service that has been successfully running for more than 10 years as JICT President Director Mr Simon Moore noted
"We're very pleased to see CNC adding to their services to and from Indonesia, and that CNC has chosen JICT as their port of call at Tanjung Priok for this new service.
We remain committed to developing JICT into a world class hub port for Indonesia that will benefit importers, exporters and shipping lines alike."
