3 has selected Ericsson as supplier of infrastructure in Denmark

3 has signed a contract with Ericsson on the purchase of 3G infrastructure in Denmark. The contract is an important step in 3's launch of mobile video communication services.

With this contract Ericsson will supply radio equipment, network, transmission and services to 3 in both Denmark and Sweden. In 2001, 3 in Sweden and Ericsson signed an agreement on infrastructure in Sweden.

- Ericsson presented the best solution for us. We looked at both the technical and commercial aspects in order to ensure our customers the best experience of mobile video communication, said Christian Jørgensen, General Manager Denmark.

- We are proud and feel privileged that 3 have selected Ericsson for this contract. We are looking forward to continue and strengthen our co-operation with 3, said Thomas Noren, Vice President Customer Unit, Ericsson

3 will be offering mobile video communication to consumer and business customers. There will be news, entertainment, sports, music, location enabling applications and business services, which 3 will offer in cooperation with a wide range of content partners.
