Sydney, 6 September 2002 - Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) Limited
(Hutchison) (ASX: HTA) - Hutchison's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kevin Russell, today announced the appointment of Mr David Dyson as the Company's new Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Stephen Gardiner, who has resigned to pursue another opportunity. Mr Russell thanked Mr Gardiner for his contribution to the Company since joining in August 2000.
Mr Dyson has worked with the Hutchison group for the last 5 years. He comes from H3G Access AB the owner of Hutchison's 3G licences in Sweden and Denmark. Mr Dyson has been based in Sweden as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this he spent 3 years with Hutchison International Ltd, a subsidiary company of Hutchison Whampoa, based in Hong Kong in senior finance roles focused on the Group's local and international telecommunications business including 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile communications and fixed line data and voice communications. Prior to Hutchison he worked with KPMG in Hong Kong and the UK.
Mr Dyson commences on 9 September and will work with Mr Gardiner over the next month to transfer responsibilities.
