Faleomavaega, Chairman of the Asia Pacific
Subcommittee of the US House Foreign Affairs
Committee, presents HWL Chairman Li Ka-shing
with a letter signed by 20 members of the US
House of Representatives recognising Mr Li’s “ex-
traordinary life, distinguished career, humanitar-
ian service, achievements, and legacy as a global
philanthropist and entrepreneur.” The letter,
along with a statement by Mr Faleomavaega
honouring Mr Li on his 80th birthday, was
recorded into the Congressional Record and made
a part of American history on 13 June 2008.
